Oscar Peterson Trio - Affinity (1962)

Affinity is a 1962 studio album by the Oscar Peterson Trio.

The album is included in its entirety on the 1996 CD reissue (and many subsequent digital releases) of the 1959 Oscar Peterson Trio album The Jazz Soul of Oscar Peterson.

Joe Henderson - In Pursuit of Blackness (1970)

In Pursuit of Blackness is an album by the American saxophonist Joe Henderson, released in 1971 on Milestone. It contains three tracks recorded in the studio in 1971 with saxophonist Pete Yellin, trombonist Curtis Fuller, pianist George Cables and the Return to Forever rhythm section of bassist Stanley Clarke and drummer Lenny White, and two tracks recorded live at the Lighthouse Café in 1970 with the live band featured on Henderson’s previous album.

Duke Ellington & John Coltrane (1962)

Coltrane is a studio album by the jazz saxophonist, bandleader, and composer John Coltrane. It was released in July 1962 through Impulse! Records. The recording was made in April and June 1962 at the Van Gelder Studio.

At the time of release it was overlooked by the music press, but has since come to be regarded as a significant recording in Coltrane's discography. When reissued on CD, it featured a Coltrane composition dedicated to his musical influence "Big Nick" Nicholas that the saxophonist recorded for his Duke Ellington collaboration Duke Ellington & John Coltrane (1963). The composition "Tunji" was written by Coltrane in dedication to the Nigerian drummer Babatunde Olatunji.

Points of View is a studio album by the Dave Holland Quintet recorded over two days in September 1997 and released on ECM April the following year. The quintet features saxophonist Steve Wilson, trombonist Robin Eubanks, vibraphonist Steve Nelson, and drummer Billy Kilson.
