Lang Lang plays Andante spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante & Chopin Piano Concerto no. 2
8 January 2010, Lang Lang played Chopin’s Andante Spianato et Grande Polonaise Brillante and Chopin’s second piano concerto with the Warsaw Philharmonic at the opening gala concert of the Chopin Year – a year-long season commemorating the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birth. The concert was broadcast live on Polish television, attended by the Polish president and government officials.
