Taylor Alison Swift (Reading, Pennsylvania, December 13, 1989), better known as Taylor Swift, is an American singer, songwriter and performer of country, pop and indie pop music. She is also an actress.
Raised in Wyomissing (Pennsylvania), Swift moved to Nashville (Tennessee) at the age of 14 to pursue a career in country music. She signed with the independent record company Big Machine Records and became the youngest artist signed by Sony/ATV Music Publishing House.
With more than 200 million records sold worldwide, she is one of the most successful artists today. Throughout her career, she has won many awards, including 11 Grammys and is the first woman to have three Grammys for album of the year. She has also received the Woman of the Decade (2010s) award from Billboard and Artist of the Decade (2010s) from the American Music Awards.
Taylor Swift (2006)
Taylor Swift was the first self-titled studio album by country singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. The album was released on October 24, 2006, under the Big Machine Records label. Swift wrote the songs for the album during her junior year of high school and has written credits on all the songs on the albums, including the songs co-written with Liz Rose.
Swift experimented with recording the album with many producers, ultimately choosing the producer who produced her demo, Nathan Chapman. Musically, the album has a country and pop style, and lyrically, it is about romantic relationships, a couple that Swift wrote while observing relationships before being in one.

His second single, ‘Teardrops on My Guitar’, was released on February 24, 2007. It reached its peak in the summer of 2007, reaching number two on the country charts and thirty-three on the Billboard Hot 100.

The second studio album, Fearless, was released in the United States on November 11, 2008. All songs on the album were again written or co-written by Taylor. Until now the album has been one of the bestsellers in the United States with 6,173,000 copies sold between November 2008 and May 2010 and exceeds 10,000,000 in the world.

Surpassing her debut album, which had sold 236,046 as of April 18, 2009.
In its first week, seven songs from Fearless entered the Billboard Hot 100, tying Hannah Montana as the female artist with more songs on the Billboard Hot 100 in a week. The single ‘White Horse’ peaked at number thirteen, being Swift’s sixth single to reach the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 on her debut, of the thirteen songs on Fearless, a total of eleven reached the Billboard Hot 100.
The single ‘Change’ was selected as part of the soundtrack to support the American delegation to the Beijing Olympics, 2008.
On September 12, the most successful single from the album, ‘Love Story’ debuted. The video of the song is based on Romeo and Juliet. The song was the second most downloaded song on the iTunes Store Top Downloaded Songs and the fourth most downloaded song on the Billboard Hot 100.
Fifteen weeks after being included in the pop music stations, ‘Love Story’ became the first song of country music reaching number one on the Nielsen BDS CHR / Top 40 chart in the chart’s sixteen-year history, it also reached number one on the Mediabase Top 40 Chart.
Fearless’ second single, ‘White Horse’, debuted on December 8, 2008. The video premiered on CMT on February 7, 2009. Although it did not reach the top spot on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs if, he achieved it in the USA Today / Country Aircheck chart in April 2009. «Forever and Always», another song from Fearless, is based on the relationship of Swift and Joe Jonas.

On October 21, 2022, Midnights became the most streamed album in a single day in Spotify history with over 185 million streams. Swift also broke the record for the most streamed artist in a single day in Spotify history.
