Singer and pianist Diana Krall was born on November 16, 1964 in Nanaimo, Canada.
She began playing piano when she was four and played professionally by the time she was a teenager.
Krall studied at the Berklee College of Music during 1981-83 before moving to Los Angeles where her mentors included Jimmy Rowles, Ray Brown and John Clayton.
She released her first album in 1993 (Stepping Out) and her second one All For You: A Dedication to the Nat King Cole Trio was a giant hit, launching her great success.

Along the way she married Elvis Costello, produced a Barbra Streisand album, recorded as an accompanist to Paul McCartney, and recorded a full album with Tony Bennett.
