Single 1971: ‘BLACK DOG’ (Led Zeppelin)
On December 2, 1971, the single taken from the fourth album by the British band Led Zeppelin was released in the United States and Australia. On its A-side it carried the song ‘Black dog’ that arose from a riff developed by John Paul Jones.
A difficult piece to execute and impossible to dance to due to its chaotic mix of riffs and measure measures, it has a cappella vocal interludes inspired by the song ‘Oh well’ by Fleetwood Mac.
The title does not appear in the lyrics nor has anything to do with it. When it came to titling the song, they were inspired by a black Labrador dog that prowled the gardens of Headly Grange Manor, in the middle of the Hampshire countryside, where the song was recorded.

Britney Spears
Today is the 44th birthday of the American singer, dancer, actress, model, designer and businesswoman Britney Spears, born in McComb (Mississippi).

At just 17 years old, with irresistible choreographies and under the guise of a naïve girl in an innocent schoolgirl uniform, Britney Spears took over the world pop scene at the end of the 90s, reviving the figure of the lonely and sensual pop singers who would later be perfected by artists such as Pink and Christina Aguilera. with topics such as ‘…Baby one more time’ (1998), ‘Born to make you happy’ (1999), ‘Ooops!… I did it again’ (2000).
In the new millennium Britney continued to release hits: ‘I’m a slave 4 U’ (2001), ‘Me against the music’ (with Madonna, 2003), ‘Toxic’, ‘Everytime’ (2004), ‘My prerogative’ (2005) ‘Gimme more’ (2007), ‘Piece of me’, ‘Womanizer’ (2008) y ‘3’ (2009).

But Spears wasn’t just a star of the song, she was a pop phenomenon in her own right. He generated millions of sales of his albums, he was a media icon who constantly worried about what he did or didn’t do. His personal life, addictions, relationships and various scandals – including the withdrawal of custody of his children – have fueled targets of paparazzi and tabloid pages around the world.
The year 2007 was intense in this regard, culminating in a disastrous performance at the MTV awards ceremony. After visiting several rehabilitation clinics, she recovered and in the spring of 2011 she released her new album, “Femme Fatale”, with songs such as “Hold it against me”, “Till the worlds ends”, “I want to go” and “Criminal”. The album received reviews of all kinds. From those who considered “Femme Fatale” Britney”s best work, to those who called its content “music designed solely to fill dance floors.”
Before the end of 2012, Spears began recording her eighth studio album, “Britney Jean”, corresponding to the last work she agreed to under contract with Jive Records. MTV, Rolling Stone readers and Billboard listed it as one of the most anticipated albums of 2013.

Several producers such as Lindal Andre, Ammo, Savan Koteccha and Ojike were involved in the project, although will.i.am served as executive producer. In mid-September 2013, a first single was released as an advance, “Work bitch” and at the end of November the album was released. In May 2015 the single “Pretty girls” recorded with Iggy Azalea appeared and in October the Italian musician and producer Giorgio Moroder released the single “Tom’s Diner” from his album “Déjà Vu” with Britney on lead vocals.
In August 2016, her most recent installment appeared: “Glory”. Worldwide, Spears has sold more than 200 million records, making her one of the best-selling musical artists in history and one of the most awarded singers in history, only behind artists such as Michael Jackson or Whitney Houston.
In 2019, Spears” legal battle for her conservatorship came to light and a social movement was formed in support of the artist, titled #FreeBritney. In 2021, in court, he accused his management team and family of abuse and expressed a desire to end the agreement.
In September of that year, a California judge suspended Jamie Spears as administrator of Britney”s estate, ending the 13-year measure that this measure lasted.
In August 2022, Britney participated with Elton John in a remake of the song “Tiny dancer”, this time called “Hold me closer”. In July 2023, the single “Mind your business”, Britney”s fourth collaboration with will.i.am, was released. In December of that year, Spears” third divorce took place.
