Donovan

Today is the 80th birthday of Donovan Leitch, Scottish composer, guitarist, and singer born in Glasgow. He emerged from the folk scene as the 'British Dylan', but soon blossomed as a mystical singer representing flower power becoming an idol for hippies around the world. He developed his own style that fused folk, jazz, pop, psychedelia and global music, achieving several hits in the United Kingdom and the United States at the end of the sixties. Although his star did not shine for a long time, his songs enjoy the category of classics.
