La Biblioteca de Partitures “Sheet Music Library (PDF)” és una biblioteca de subscripció sense ànim de lucre que treballa en l’objectiu de crear una col·lecció en línia oberta de partitures digitalitzades, reunida ara dins d’aquesta biblioteca independent en línia, que ara conté més de 11.000 llibres de música i partitures (> 132.000 pàgines) per a piano i guitarra, així com partitures de piano/guitarra-vocal.

Com funciona el préstec d’una partitura a través de la nostra biblioteca digital?
És força fàcil: podeu demanar prestat i descarregar un o diversos documents (sense restriccions per als membres subscrits), sempre que la vostra categoria de membre estigui activa. El contingut complet de la Biblioteca està disponible permanentment en línia per als nostres membres, sense restriccions ni en el temps, ni en el nombre de préstecs ni d’impressions. Totes les partitures són en format PDF (sense protecció per llegr i imprimer), però en alguns casos, on hi ha fitxers d’àudio adjunts (MP3), com els llibres i mètodes de piano i guitarra, es poden incloure en un fitxer RAR o ZIP. Per què partitures digitals?

Partitures gratuïtes en format PDF amb finalitats educatives. El nom no té importància. L’únic que importa és la música que hi ha. Fins avui, solia ser una forma manuscrita o impresa de notació musical mitjançant símbols musicals moderns. La primera partitura impresa realitzada amb una impremta fou el 1473.
Avui en dia, tenim partitures digitals, normalment en PDF, que es poden compartir de manera instantània a tot el món, fins i tot a llocs remots on és difícil trobar partitures en paper. (Si necessiteu un lector de PDF feu clic aquí). Qualsevol persona, en qualsevol lloc, en qualsevol moment, 24 hores, pot tenir i imprimir les partitures just en el moment adequat. La cultura no ha estat mai tan compartida. A més, cada vegada més sovint, els intèrprets o aficionats utilitzen tauletes o dispositius similars per llegir i reproduir música, de manera que de vegades ni és necessària la impressió en paper.
