Country music star Dolly Parton died Tuesday at the age of 80, her family announced, after a long battle with health issues . Her death was announced by her nephew, Brian Seaver, in a video in which he said, "Dolly lived in the light , and now she has joined her parents in heaven."
“My family and I have shared a lifetime of beautiful memories with Dolly, but so have you,” Seaver narrates in the video. “She was always present on your television, your record player, your CDs, or your phone playlist, becoming a member of your family .”
The singer, who won 11 Grammy Awards , including a Lifetime Achievement Award, became one of the best-selling female artists of all time, with over 100 million records sold and hits such as "Coat of Many Colors ," "Jolene, " and " I Will Always Love You ."
