Kenny Burrell and the Jazz Guitar Band (1987)

The best sheet music download from our Library.

In 1987, veteran guitarist Kenny Burrell put together his Jazz Guitar Band, a quintet that featured him, Rodney Jones, and Bobby Broom on guitars along with bassist Dave Jackson, and drummer Kenny Washington.

The group recorded two albums and had a few special performances during 1987-89.

Burrell’s band performs Blue Mitchell’s “Fungii Mama,” a calypso that has the chord changes of “I Got Rhythm.”

Each of the musicians gets a short solo with Washington having a more extended spot.
